Cherokee, NC :: Oconaluftee Islands Park
The Oconaluftee Islands Park cam, located in
Cherokee, NC, offers a spectacular view of the Oconaluftee River.
As the Oconaluftee passes through Cherokee, it
is split by an amazing, grassy island – the Oconaluftee
Islands Park – sheltered by canopies of oak and
sycamore. The water ranges from ankle deep for
toddlers to chest deep on Mom and Dad.
During the warmer months, this camera offers a
unique view of the many people who go fishing on
the river. Cherokee is home to many other
activities as well, including outdoor drama,
golf, camping, rafting/kayaking, and many events
where you can learn about the history and
culture of the Cherokee Nation.
